 Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking Nail Technician | On Call for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa!

The Nail Technician is responsible for providing high quality nail salon services to members and guests using professional skills that meet the individual needs of each client serviced. The Nail Technician will prescribe the appropriate regimen of nail products and services for each client.

Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

                                                                       

  1. Adhere to all standard policies and procedures.                                                     
  2. Perform all guest activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, at all times maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
  3. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with management and fellow associates in all Omni departments.  Help achieve our common goals of maximizing guest satisfaction and profit margins.
  4. Maintain a positive attitude towards co-workers and the job being performed.
  5. Report to work on time in a properly cleaned and pressed uniform.  Hygiene is key in this environment due to the close proximity working with the clients.  At no time is cigarette smoke allowed to be on the hands, hair, clothes, or breath of a spa employee during a shift.
  6. Adhere to a professional relationship with clients of The Spa.  Discussion of internal matters of any sort with clients is not permitted.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Provide consistent professional nail services in accordance with spa protocols.
  2. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  3. Properly care for equipment and implements and tools and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  4. Have complete knowledge and understanding of all nail services and products while educating and training guests in these areas.
  5. Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
  6. Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.

 

    1. Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
    2. Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
    3. Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
    4. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
    5. Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings.
    6. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
    7. Perform all services for which training has been received in the allotted period and without personal interpretation of the treatment application.
    8. Promote and sell retail products.
    9. Keep work area neat and clean at all times, personal items should never be visible.
    10. Keep work area stocked with sufficient supplies for a full day of operation.
    11. Clean equipment and common areas used after performing services.
    12. Properly use authority within given guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction.
    13. Inform managers of ways to improve overall operation of the spa, your working experience and the comfort of our guests.
    14. Assist other departments whenever necessary (and available).
    15. Attend all training sessions, learning new techniques to be used in the performance of the job.
    16. Maintain current certifications/licenses to be displayed in the Spa.  A copy will be kept on file in the Spa.  It is the therapist’s responsibility to never allow this license to expire.  If this happens, the associate will be removed from the work schedule.
    17. Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by a supervisor or manager.
    18. Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority.
    19. Stay current and educated with new treatments and products in the Spa industry.
    20. Promote self as well as other Spa, Hotel and Club affiliates and services.
    21. Must maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times.
    22. Must agree and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must speak fluent English.
  2. Must be a certified and licensed nail technician in the State of Texas. All certifications will be displayed in the hair salon area.  A copy will be filed with the Spa.
  3. Must be able to deal with people in a professional manner under pressure.
  4. Must have previous experience as a nail technician.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

    1. Follow all aspects of job safety.
    2. Understand that the job may require bending, stooping, and lifting of materials of moderate weight.
